Have you ever wanted to learn about Irish knitting? Exactly what is it? Why is it different? Guild member Joanne Yablonsky will share highlights of her recent trip along the Wild Atlantic Way of Ireland’s north western coast. Hear about the Aran Islands, Studio Donegal yarns, and Irish knitwear designers Edel McBride and Kieran Foley.
Please bring a pair of US #8 knitting needles (straight or circular, your preference). You will then have the opportunity to try your hand at a favorite Aran stitch. Yarn will be provided.
And please bring any Aran knitting examples or projects that you have to share with the group.
Also, please bring dues of $36 if you have not yet paid for 2020.
