June 2019: Mosaic Knitting

Have you ever wanted to learn two-color knitting? Did you know that there is a technique that makes it so much easier than it looks? Mosaic knitting can be used in a variety of patterns, from hats to socks to shawls, blankets, and sweaters, and can be worked flat or in the round, stockinette or garter stitch.

Member Sarah Lindsey will lead the group in a demonstration and the application of the technique. Please bring two colors of yarn in the same weight and needles appropriate to the yarn. We will be making something that is coaster sized with an opportunity to personalize your design!

Sarah attends the guild’s night meetings as often as she can. She has been knitting since she was 14 years old and can be found on Ravelry as withmyneedles.

Dates and Locations:

The NIGHT MEETING will be on Tuesday evening, June 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 2500 Soquel Ave. (Dinner beforehand for those who wish at Jeffery’s on Soquel.)
