February 2019: Stash Exchange Month

This is the month that we all look forward to as being one of the best benefits of membership in the Knitting Guild. It’s stash exchange month!

Although the highlight of the meeting is always finding a new and shiny yarn for free, this year, we will give you some ideas so that you will be able to “shop” for the yarn you need to complete a new project. We will show you two striped hats for which you don’t need to weave in ends as you change the colors! The catch? You will need at least three different yarns, either all worsted or all fingering. For instance, if you only have two in your stash right now, shop for another little ball for the third.

The projects we will present are fun, very easy to do, never dull, take small amounts of yarn, and remember, colorwork is IN this year. If you have any Helix Hats that we could pass during the meeting, please bring them. Small stash amounts in worsted and fingering weights are especially desirable for our free store.

If you have larger quantities of yarn, those are exchangeable as well. If you’d like to sell a stash quantity, that will be between you and the buyer. Please label the price and give your name.

Hope to see you this month!
