Happy New Year, Knitters!
Heirlooms and Vintage Knitting – January Program
Did you know there’s a whole category of knitting called Vintage Knits? The concept is based on either knitting from vintage patterns (old patterns from previous eras, such as the 19th century, but also the 1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s, etc.) or patterns adapted from earlier time periods.
In January, we’ll showcase some sources for vintage knitting patterns and ideas. But bring your own ideas, too, including any books or patterns you might have to show and share.
And speaking of sharing, if you have an heirloom knit in your family, bring that along, too. This program is all about honoring the craft of knitting through treasures our families have saved or future treasures we might make from classic vintage patterns.
