We all have small amounts of yarn or ribbons that we can’t bear to simply discard. Here’s a way to use up scraps and embellish knitting projects: KUMIHIMO BRAIDING. Join guest speakers Marlene Corder and Rachelle Weiss from the Handweavers’ Guild as they teach us about this Japanese braiding technique. Even better, they will bring supplies so we can try it ourselves. Come and give it a try and discover ways you can use this idea in your own work.
We’ll also have our monthly business meeting and, following the program, we’ll enjoy time for the popular show-and-share of member projects. Here’s your chance to get help with a project or simply show off one that you’re working on.
The NIGHT MEETING will be on Tuesday evening, June 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 2500 Soquel Ave.
The DAY MEETING will be on Thursday, June 18, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 at Vintage Faith Church (aka The Abbey), the large brick church at the corner of Mission and Highland.
