October 2013 Meeting

LEARN THE BASICS OF ENTRELAC at either of this month’s Guild meetings!

Have you been intrigued by the woven look of entrelac but figured it was
too hard to learn?  Well, now is your chance to overcome that fear and see
how easy a technique this is.  Martha Dexter will provide an overview of
basic entrelac knitting including a pattern for an entrelac scarf.

Bring a worsted weight yarn and size 7 or 8 needles.   That’s enough to get
you started on learning the technique.  If you want to actually begin
making the scarf, you’ll need approx. 440 yards of a long-repeat dyed yarn
such as Noro Silk Garden (a less expensive alternative is LionBrand
Amazing).

Already know how to do entrelac?  Come to the meeting anyway and share your
knowledge.  And stay for our regular show-and-share session where we talk
about our current projects and challenges (Got a problem? Get an answer!).
