Steeks are often associated with Fair Isle knitting, but they can be useful in other circular knitting, as well. Intimidated by the idea of cutting your knitting? Want to review your steek technique? This month’s programs are for you! At both April Guild meetings, Gayle will be talking about steeks, and she will demonstrate the cutting of knitted fabric!
No homework required! I’ll do all the work. Just bring your open mind and and take your life in your hands by watching me cut my knitted sample. You might be surprised….it’s really easy and lets one knit IN THE ROUND which I love!
This month’s NIGHT MEETING will be on Tuesday evening, April 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room of the Community Church at 411 Roxas Street in Santa Cruz.
The DAY MEETING will be on Thursday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz, in the meeting room by the gym, toward the back of the complex.
